We have been busy fabricating the new Shopwyke Lakes NMU bridge over the last few months and the structures are now moving through our in-house Finishing department. This large bridge scheme consists of a 48 metre splayed Bow-Arch ‘Sunburst’ Vierendeel main span together with over 360 metres of steel approach ramps and associated support trestles.
The photograph below shows a similar span being installed in Birstall, Leicestershire last year.
The photographs below show 2 quarters of the main span going nicely through the Painting department. After blasting, the 4-coat paint system is being applied with full stripe coating a plenty!
