The Port of Sheerness beam bridge consists of four fabricated and painted steel beams. The beams were fabricated from mild steel and then was blasted and painted at our works. The bridge provides vital vehicular access for the expanding port facilities.
The beams and associated cross bracings and transom members were delivered to site on our extendable trailers and then assembled to be lifted in as braced pairs. Extensive permanent and temporary formwork was added at ground level before being lifted into place with a 750te crane.
