Description

This is a 31 metre Nusteel designed Bow Warren Truss with a Circular Top Chord. It is part of a cycle route between Bolton and Bury that follows the route of an old railway line providing access for pedestrian, cyclists and equestrian users. This efficient form of Warren truss provides an economic solution for spanning road, rail or water.

Materials

The main hollow steel sections are hot rolled to BS EN 10210:2006 S355J2H with the plates and sections to BS EN 10025:2004 S355J2+N. A Highways England Type 2 paint system was used in conjunction with a combined waterproofing and anti-slip decking system.
